Hi:

We at Bookpleasures.com do not discriminate between self-published and main stream published books.

However, it should be pointed out that we received hundreds of review requests and we can only review so many.

I should also like to point out that many of our reviewers have complained that several of the self-published books lack proper editing and proof reading.

I would highly recommend that if anyone is going to self-publish, he or she should hire a reputable editor to polish up the book. Unfortunately, this is what is turning off some of our reviewers from reading and reviewing the self-published book.

This is a common problem, which some folks are trying to solve. I have started Xavier House Reviews to specialize in dealing with self-published and small publisher works. Unlike some of the review services who cater to these books Xavier House Reviews does not charge for reviews.
